ICMB is an independent not-for-profit Foundation under Swiss law. It is associated to the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, which provides administrative support and hosts its events.
ICMB is governed by a Foundation Board whose members are co-opted. They come from the private and central banking sectors, and from the academic community. The President of the Foundation Board is Martin Schlegel, Chairman of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank.
The ICMB Director is Ugo Panizza, Professor of Economics at IHEID, who attends the Foundation board meetings as secretary. It is administered by Laurence Procter.
